| Fabulous Embroidered Skirt, Sind or Kutch #910 |
This is skirt fabric from the Memon or Lohana community, Tharparkar, Sindh, Pakistan or
Banni Kutch, Gujarat. 100 x 25 inches. This is a large beautiful embroidery from the early to
mid-20th century. A nearly identical skirt was featured on the cover of Rosemary Crill's "Indian
Emboidery" book. Generally good condition, with small areas where the silk floss embroidery
has degraded.
