Old Mizoram Indian Dancing Skirt
47 x 37 inches. The skirt has fabulous supplemental warp design on a field of black,
burgundy, green and yellow stripes (see closeup photos of the fine design). The weave is a
relatively fine. The material is an indigo blue cotton. The bangles are made of seeds, red
beads, and long brass pipe beads. Most of the bangles are there, but some are missing or
incomplete. The textile portion is in excellent condition with attractive colors. The skirt also
has cowrie shell embellishments. This is an excellent uncommon textile from a remote part of
the world that will be a great addition to any collection. $210
