Antique Banjara Indian Textile Galla (neckpiece)
This is an Antique Banjara Indian textile ceremonial cloth known as a galla that is used to cover
the nape of a Banjara woman's neck. 7.5 x 10 inches. This colorful piece is executed in cross
stitches that cover the entire textile. Colors include grass green, yellow, deep burgundy, salmon,
blue, and white. This piece has quite a bit of age for a Banjara textile Overall the embroidery is
in good condition, though a little dirty. The orange ties were added recently. Nice playful,
traditional Banjara designs. Missing a few cowries. SOLD
