#873
9.2 inches across and 12 inches high (when closed). This child's vest has been embroidered in
chain stitches and beadwork by a mother who lovingly labored for her child in the Kohistan
region in modern day Pakistan. Black cotton vest with a printed red cotton inside lining.
Embellished with buttons and tiny white beads. Very nice abstract imagery imbued with what
must be some very interesting past and meaning, though today its meaning is probably lost.
The vest would probably fit a 1-2 year old child. The condition is OK and it's a bit dirty and could
use a wash. A rare and unusual textile that's great to collect or wear from a little visited part of
the world. $195
