Old Banjara Indian Textile Galla (neckpiece)
This is a small old Banjara Indian textile ceremonial cloth known as a galla that is used to
cover the nape of a Banjara woman's neck. Approximately 9 x 7 inches. This galla is a little
smaller than usual. The center field is covered in fine attractive cross-stitch in dark lac-dyed
purple, yellow, white, and blue.  Traditional Banjara imagery. Beautiful dyes on a lovely
diminutive piece. The textile is in excellent condition. I always like these pieces with
cross-stitch work in the center. $60
